It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

It's a gorgeous 75 degrees here in NY. The kind of day that makes you want to basically live outside. The only bad part is, I have no clue what we should do! We did the Queens Zoo last weekend, went to the park this morning and have played outside all day. I guess that's enough entertainment for a 2-year old anyway. I hope the weather stays like this for as long as possible...it just feels good to be alive :)

Here are some shots I took at the Queens Zoo last weekend. Of course I took a million pics of the animals for Sarah, but these two are my favorites. There's something so serene about them. And to imagine there's a major highway within one mile of this place. That's NY for ya!

I've been scrappin up a storm lately. I think I've finally gotten my style down. But I know as soon as I publish this blog post, my style will change once again, lol. I call it Graphic with an Edge...whatever that means.

Sneak Peeks!

I'm about to gush about a new kit club, so if you're budget is tight right now, you might now want to read this....this kit is THAT awesome! I'm almost finished with my Label Tulip kit and I think I used every last scrap of paper in the kit, lol! It's one of those kits that mixes papers and embellies from so many different manufacturers that you think "there's no way all this stuff is going to go together!". But in the end, it coordinates so perfectly that you can't put down the adhesive ;) I know I've said this before, but the gorgeous packaging it comes in is a gift in itself to top it all off. Have I made you drool yet? Well, here are some sneak peeks of some of the projects I did with the August Label Tulip kit.....and they're doing a dt call right now. Cindee and Angie are so much fun to work and I can't wait to see the team they choose! Enjoy!

Quick Drive By.....

Toot Toot Chugga Chugga Big Red Car.....Hot Potato Hot Potato....Fruit Salad, Yummy Yummy....if anyone is singing along at this point, you know you have a child under the age of six in your house! We sing these songs everyday at my house. I hate to admit that we even have them programmed into our iPods! Trey, Sarah, my mom and I all saw the Wiggles at Nassau Collesium....happy happy joy joy. Just kiddin'. Sarah LOVED it. She even got to give a high five to Jeff. Just ask her....she'll tell you the story at least three times ;)

Speaking about telling stories a bazillion times, Sarah also loves to tell the one where she fell out of the pool and got a nice huge road rash on her forehead. You've got to see the looks I get from some people. As if I threw out of the pool myself!! As a PSA, be careful with those pools that have the inflatable ring at the top....the kind they sell at KB Toys. Sarah pushed down on one side, it just folded over, a wave of water came rushing out and she went with it. I didn't see it happen but Trey said it nearly gave him a heart attack! Poor baby..but she's healing nicely. She's such a tough little chick :)

Lots of Dream Street, Hambly and Urban Lily work in this post. And more to come! I've got to buckle down and start scrapping this weekend. Send me any extra mojo you may have laying around ;)

And I MUST tell you about this new kit club that I am completely in love with.....Label Tulip. Check the link on the sidebar to see it for yourself. The kits are gorgeous and packed! THe mix of papers and embellies is so unique. And to top it all off, it's gorgeously packaged in kraft paper. I felt like I was getting a boutique gift in the mail. I actually have the August kit in my hands. There's a sneak peek of it on the site. And let me tell you, the picture (or any picture for that matter) does not do it justice. You could not imagine what is in this kit and the addons! And they're doing a dt call right now....RUN, don't walk there.

Not so Lazy Summer Days. . .

I have been so beyond swamped lately with work that I've hardly noticed that it's summer at all! Except, of course, when I step outside and immediately break into a sweat from the nasty humidity...ick! But I do have some cool stuff to share!

Dream Street now has CHIPBOARD MINI ALBUMS in the awesome 6x12 size that I am so in love with lately! The stickers and chipboard are all hole punched so all you have to do is peel the 6x6 or 6x12 sticker, line up the holes and stick it on. Add some pictures, embellies and our awesome bookboard letters and you have an amazing album in no time at all! I made this one in my hotel room on my bed! I can't wait to make more of these. For this album I mixed up the 6x6 pages inside the 6x12 covers, but you can do a book with just one size if you like :) Either way...I think they are awesome for gifts or just to hoard and display around your house ;)
