Yummy Goodness

The cover of the Pop Ink catalogue is just so inspiring. I want to make it my desktop so I can look at it everyday. When I get my dream home, I want one wall of my designing room to look just like it :)

And here's my favorite slow cooker recipe EVER for the chicas over at Label Tulip::

Tipsy Chicken

INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon butter
8 chicken breasts
salt and pepper to taste
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (8 ounce) package fresh mushrooms
1 1/4 cups white wine
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

DIRECTIONS
Place all ingredients into the slow cooker and cook on low for about 6 hours. Check the chicken to make sure it is cooked all the way through.
Sometimes I add a little more flour at the end to thicken up the sauce. It's fantastic over simple white rice, but make a lot of it. You'll want to sop up all of the delicious gravy!

I made those cute little scrabble pendants using our new Dream Street papers and a great set of instructions off of etsy. They were so much fun to make. I can see myself making them as gifts with photos for the birthdays coming up :)

Words of a child....

Sarah has been seriously cracking me up lately. Her latest in a string of one liners went something like this:

Mommy: Sarah, you need to go to bed. You're tired and cranky.
Sarah: You better believe it!

Daddy: Sarah, are you ready to eat dinner?
Sarah: No, I'm not hungry, I don't think I'm hungry. Mommy, am I hungry?

Dixie is settling in to the family very well. She loves to run around with Sarah and then lounge on my lap. She's the best of both worlds :) We're headed to a vet appointment for the last of her shots. I hate hearing that puppy whimper so I'm hoping they get those shots over fast. Although I just watched her pee at the front door....she's not so cute right now, lol!!

In Oscar news, I can't believe Johnny Depp didn't win best actor. He was amazing in Sweeney Todd. Well, he wins my award for best actor anyway. IF only he'd come over so I could bestow the honor on him personally ;)

The projects above were both created with my new Dream Street {Miss}fit line. It's still crazy to think that the papers will be in stores soon...if they aren't there already! If you've used my papers on any of your layouts, please link me up. I'd love to see them!

Great Movie, Great Music

I have completely fallen in love with the movie Across the Universe! I thought it would be totally silly so I skipped it when it was in theaters. But now, I'm literally addicted to it.....I didn't even get through 30 minutes of the movie before I had to restart it because it was simply to good not to watch again immediately! Crushing on "Jude" is an understatement right now. I even have the soundtrack on itunes playing in the background pretty much constantly. It breathed new life into those amazing Beatles tunes that I knew and loved back in college. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it!

YouTube virgin no more!

Ok, I totally hate watching myself and hearing my voice but I had to post this just for the sake of it's coolness factor...I'm on YouTube! It just cracks me up! Anyway, go ahead and laugh at my giddiness....and enjoy the new minibook double sided diecuts from Dream Street, LOL! The line I'm showing is actually my line..BONUS!

Welcome Dixie!

We added a new member to our family! Welcome Dixie Doodle, a cockapoo who has literally stolen our hearts :) She's three months old and totally adorable at about 5 pounds or pure fluff. She's been so good sleeping in her crate right next to our bed. Although she is teething and chewing on just about everything, we still can't get enough of her. Sarah and her are becoming such cute pals. It's definitely helping Sarah learn how to share her stuff, even if she doesn't want to, lol.

Here's a sneak peek of the new Label Tulip kit. This kit was so inspiring. I just couldn't stop scrapping. I even made cards..now for anyone who knows me....that's big. I never make cards :) Heck, I don't ever send cards either. But I do love buying them from the store, putting them in a pile and then finding them about two weeks after the event they were purchased for. I'm so organized :P

Back in good 'ol Nueva York

It's good to be home again. CHA was a bunch of fun as always, but being away from home always reminds you of the things you love so much about actually being there. I couldn't wait to get back on my comfy couch with my Sarah and snuggling in front of our tv, watching the latest Backyardigans. It's the simple things that make life worth living :)

I'll upload photos from CHA as soon as my mom brings over her card reader. I didn't bring the big momma camera this time. Lots of cute booth photos and shots of the gorgeous Dream Street girls!

Here's a quick digi layout I did...trying to get my mojo back up before I hit the stunning Label Tulip DT kit that was sitting in my kitchen, patiently waiting for me to get home from Cali.

Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day! I woke up to flowers and a HUGE box of yummy chocolates. Sarah and I ate them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. YUM-O. And then some take-out sushi from our favorite sushi joint while watching the two episodes of American Idol that I missed (what a talented show this year!!). It was the perfect Valentine's Day for the Hardy family :)

I've climbed out from under the pile of paper...

to post another sneak peek of my new line :) The week before CHA is always crazy....i plan to sleep on the plane to cali :0)

Sarah started her first day of school today. I thought she'd be a wreck but no! She had a ball with her little friend Ashley. And she made it through the entire 2 hours. I was shocked. I guess she's tougher than I thought...just like her momma ;) She learned about the letter V and that boys are way too loud. Literacy and life lessons...can't beat that, LOL!
